压力式比例混合装置具有流量大、压力范围广、压力损失小的特点，在各种高、中、低倍数的泡沫灭火系统中均能够得到广泛的应用，按结构可以分为立式和卧式，压力式比例混合装置是由压力罐、胶囊、比例混合器、安全阀、排气阀、压力表、单向阀以及各类控制阀管道而组成的混合装置。
压力式比例混合装置立式泡沫罐安装说明：
1.应按照说明书的安装尺寸，用地脚螺栓稳固的固定在混凝土的基础上，本装置是安装在室内。
2.进出水管按照说明书上的接口法兰进行连接。
3.放水管的长度根据已有的建筑设施、下水道位置等现场自定。
4.安装完毕后，应进行一次系统密封性的测试，储液罐和管道不允许有渗透的现象，安全阀不能出现失灵的情况。
压力式比例混合装置立式泡沫罐保养说明：
1.更换泡沫液时，应对灭火系统做一次模拟实验，目的是为了检测消防泵和比列混合装置，检测设备的工况是否存在异常，如有异常应及时检修，无异常就可继续适用。
2.保持泡沫罐内部的清洁，再进行灌装泡沫液，不可与油类或其他泡沫液相混合，为保证效果，也不可和老化的泡沫液混合。
3.经常检查泡沫罐的法兰是否密封，各类阀门是否灵活，如不灵活应及时的更换。
4.每隔半年对装胶囊的贮罐进行一次是否有漏洞的情况，实验的方法是开启放水阀，如有泡沫泄漏则胶囊受损，应及时的修补或者更换。
5.由于泡沫液的储存温度为-4~40℃，所以需要避免阳光的直射，对于失效的泡沫液应及时更换。
